I plan to use this file as a scratch track to build a much more complex piece (more guitars, orchestra…

And I can only hope you post updates as you add more pieces.

EC2 has been great so far. I work with somebody else who takes care of setting up and administering the instances, though.

And... woah!

You're working with EC2!! What's that like!?

I briefly tried to push AEI into looking at EC2 (or whatever it was called then) for on-demand, sandboxed BP execution services, for customers who didn't want to maintain a server.

It turned out that EC2 "wasn't invented there". Who knew?

Running into a lot of NIH hassles at the new job too, as it turns out. Still don't get it.

Thanks Jim.

meh - did that get left in the file info? Must have carried over from SONAR.

It's the title / title track of the CD this will eventually go on. I try (desperately) to keep politics out of this blog, but now and then it has to come out. BOTWIE is about the facets of our society that do just that: media, academia and the professional political class. Yes, I've gotten cynical and unforgiving in my elder years. ;-)

Here's the chorus for the media verse - the others are variations on that theme:

Page after page you bring out the worst in everyone!
Day after day you ignore the power you carry in your soul.
You could be the walking, talking example of 21st Century knowledge and taste.
But instead you keep on repeating the noise...
That Brings Out The Worst In Everyone

Beautiful. Thanks for sharing it. But Ron: "Bringing Out the Worst in Everyone"? If this music brings out the worst, then I'm Andre Segovia.

(fixed)

[...] unknown wrote an interesting post today onHere’s a quick excerptIt’s pretty dynamic, so if it sounds really low-volume when it first starts (about 8 seconds in, or so), don’t turn your volume up too high. It’ll get louder soon enough. Enjoy! Volo Flamenco - MP3 - 128kBps - 6.1MB - 6:41 min. … Read the rest of this great post here Posted in Uncategorized on April 9th, 2009 | [...]
